Well done Northumbria. It looks like everything was pretty exciting with some really close scores! It's also good to see the Oxbridge dominance finally tested, in both the men's and women's.

Fantastic day and a real privilege to watch such a Ladies final. Edinburgh gave all they had but just lost out by such a narrow margin. Support for both teams was great. A long but very enjoyable day. Perhaps next year gold for Edinburgh!

The atmosphere in the whole hall was fantastic, great to see such team spirit, all the fencers did their universities proud.

I still want to see number two son dressed as a parrot - as I gather he was on Friday.

Well done to all finalists. It is great that University fencing is so competitive. It can only be good for our team fencing in the future. All our fencers need more team practice.

well done northumbria, it's nice to have some glory come up north for a change.
(It fills me with southerner's shame to write that...)
