Calling All Londoner's

If you have ever wanted to become an official, now is your chance.

England Fencing/the BFA have arranged, in conjunction with Official Sports London to run 4 courses to train referees, armorers and computer operators to increase the numbers available for our sport as part of the legacy of the Olympics.

Places are available to existing officials or people who do not have any qualifications currently.

If you live in one of the 32 London boroughs or the City you will be eligible to apply. Official Sports London will be providing bursary's to cover the costs, including travel etc.

All you have to give is 15 hours of voluntary work if you pass the course, they will even cover travel expenses to competitions to complete the 15 hours.

The courses will be held at Fighting Fit in Islington. All of the dates and other information can found at www.officialsports.org

Fighting Fit will be running some fencing training days on the same dates. These will be open to all ages and should be very cheap as the fencers will be needed for the referees to practice on.

If you have any questions please feel free to PM or call me on 020 7272 6246
