Providing that there is sufficient interest, there will be an armoury course at the BUCS Individuals on Saturday 5th December.

What weapons are taking place that day?

During the day - approx 1.00 pm - 5.00 pm.

Women's Epee and Men's Foi is on the Saturday.

The course will cover fault finding, maintenance and repair.

Candidates are asked to bring:

A broken weapon
A working weapon
A small tool kit see attached document for details (this is not mandatory but would be very useful)

The course will cost 5, plus 5 for joining the Guild of Armourers. Joining the Guild is not mandatory but is recommended, and is compulsory if you wish to qualify as a Journeyman Armourer. (This course will form part of the Journeyman Armourer qualification.)

What's the other part?There are four modules:

Weapon control
Floor design
Layout & piste laying
Fault finding

There will hopefully be a Weapon Control course at the England Cup in January, and I am trying to arrange other courses, dates TBC.

Course fee payable to 'British Fencing Association,' Guild membership to 'Guild of Armourers.'

I went to the one last year and found it very useful. A great way to pass the time if like me you dont like foil! :p

So far, I've had a lot of people expressing interest, but no-one actually applying for the course... get your applications in soon!
