Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knew whether there is going to be a Leon Paul stand at the BUCS individuals next weekend.

Thanks

You're desperate for a new body wire - because yours won't work? You can learn how to fix it and more at the armoury course that is taking place on Saturday at the BUCS between 1 & 5 pm...

lol,

I did an armoury course a few years back and I have tried tightening the screws on each end of the body wire but still giving me white lights.

I have some friends from the uni club doing the armoury course at the individuals and will give them my body wire to fiddle with and try to fix!

I am struggling to find a postcode for the BUCS venue, and the link to a map on the info sheet seems to be broken. The uni seems to have several sports halls on different campuses.

Does anyone have a definitive postcode or map? Is it the same sports hall as the PSFC has been for the last couple of years?

It'll be on the University Park campus:

The sports centre is no.1 in the top left corner-ish.

NG72RD is a good postcode to start.

Dear tigger,

I must say that I find it a bit surprising that someone with your level of skill and experience both as a fencer and a coach still does not know how to fill in a pool sheet. Perhaps you should ask one of the more experienced fencers at your club to apply to become a Piste Assistant Award Tutor. (The application form can be found here: http://www.britishfencing.com/British_Fencing.asp?PageID=1260). They could then deliver a course at your club which would teach you everything you need to know about scoring, timekeeping, pool sheets and referee assistance.

Best wishes,

Jack

This is a classic example of how even the most experienced of fencers can sometimes "slip through the net." Take note, everyone!
