Hi All....

I'm presently researching/practicing older forms of fencing including the art of single-stick from the 1700's onwards.

Just posted on the off chance there were other stick-fencers on this forum, or any veteran coaches with experience in this art.

You are not likely to find much about Stick fighing on this board. However, I seem to remember that there was an article in the The Sword a while back about it.

Have you tried Google (http://www.google.com)? There might be some stuff you can link into from there.

If you contact Leon Paul they might have some old books lying about, their agent Simon certainly does [I'm sure they can put you in touch with him if necessary...].

Post up some questions on the forum. Some of the guys here can probably help with the history of the sport.

we've done a bit of cutlass training / singlesticks at our club...
until the girls flippin broke them!
