Following the successful British and England Fencing conferences held in March 2010 and 2011, we are pleased to announce that the first of this year’s conferences for coaches, club organisers and other volunteers (e.g. referees, armourers, event organisers) will be held on Sunday 18 March 2012 at Loughborough University, 9am – 5pm. The conference will be running alongside a National Academy training weekend & the team preparation day for the World Cadet & Junior Championships so many of the top young fencers in the UK will be in attendance.

Content Exact details will be published nearer the date. However, we will have a combination of development and information briefing activities including:

Key note session with the British Fencing development team
A mystery guest speaker – an inspiring story for all
A range of briefings, updates and workshops on coach and fencer education, club organisation, non-fencing coaching training, etc.
Practical coaching master classes

Posted on behalf of the events team at BF. Well worth a look, and having attended a couple of these - also well worth a visit.

BUMP!

In addition to the stuff listed above, I understand that Catherine Nicholl, BF insurance advisor, will be there to take questions on insurance (always a popular topic in the EF inbox). Yours truly will also be in attendance to answer questions about the proposed new membership scheme, in particular how it inter-relates with the insurance issue.

There are loads of better things to see and do than talk to Catherine and I, so if you haven't already booked - visit the link above!
