Don't know about everyone else but I have found that although I am fairly fit, I run out of energy just before the DE starts at most fencing competitions.

Found an excellent website for nutrition information at:

www.disen.org

which has some good advice about nutrition for training and competing that might be some use to me and anyone else who has the same trouble.

Thanks for the link. I tend to have the same problem. I'm not sure how much of it is down to nutrition and how much is having to get up at $!% o'clock in the morning to get to the competition though.

With you there. Nutrition seems to have little effect so long as I have something during the day. If I had to get up and haven't any coffee available though.....:sleep:
