England Fencing London Region became an official region of England Fencing in 2011! Its aims, like the others, is to organise regional competitions especially qualifiers for BYC etc., to organise training and advise on funding.

Like the other regions and sport in general, it relies on volunteers most of whom have busy workday jobs and there is always room for more. Registration, piste set up and take down, Check in, armoury, (mainly replacing LP point screws, we got through 100 at the Camden LPJS this last weekend!), results management, floor managers, catering, web/twitter/FB updates and DT are just some of what you can get involved with and the more there are the less the commitment needed from each individual.:D

We also need a Committee to take the necessary decisions. It meets 3 or 4 times a year with a bit of email in between. We are a friendly, positive, easy going, non-argumentative team and looking for similar people. Gamesmakers welcome!

The 2012 AGM will be on Wednesday 31st October. Details on the London Region website (see below). With British Fencing looking to delegate more functions out to the regions it is even more important to get involved.
