Congratulations to GB Women's Pentathlon team (Summers, Bryson, and Prise) on winning Youth A world championships by only one point. Also congratulations to their coaches in all disciplines.

Fencing was a key factor here with Bryson and Summers both in top 8 of the fence which pulled their overall totals right up!!!

Francesca also claimed an individual Bronze medal so a really great result for her and a boost for parental involvement everywhere as she is coached at home mainly by her parents!!!

think you should also mention the horses without whom......the jumping might have been a little more difficult :D

No horses in the Youth A event - just fencing, swimming and combined.

Really well done to Frankie for her Individual success as well as for the team in total for the Gold.

Frankie has a really good support structure from her parents, and certainly her fencing has been getting better and better in the last few months (which is an area her parent's don't coach at) which is a great base for the Pentathlon success.

It is scary as Charlotte and Isabella were fencing really well at Warwick today and are, along with Georgina, a family has developed to show great talent and if Jamie also goes the way of pentathlon as well!!!

Really weird remembering Kate coaching the girls as beginners so many years ago in their garden, how they have all grown..

apparently there are no horses in youth pentathlon but there are plenty of humourless pr*ts who cant recognise a jest, even when it has a smiley attached, who are willing to tell me this in private.

I despair!

Francesca nearly did it again with a clear ride and a fabulous combined event pulling her up to a 4th place finish in th JUNIOR world championship pentathlon (where she has many many years left)

This was enough to secure a team gold medal. Massive congratulations to Alice, John, and Francesca

And congratulations to th team of coaches both in Bath and in the Surrey Hills!!!!

Youth A is a Tetrathlon so no Show Jumping, this 2nd event was Junior (Under 20 I think) and is a full Pentathlon.

Another amazing result for one of our best young Epeeists..

Until the Food Standards people got involved, you were able to get them in your lunchbox.
