Kenny (or whoever),

I was just playing on the Leon Paul website, and they have a fantastic fencing smilie thing on there, which doesn't seem to be available on the forum. It's at http://www.leonpaul.com/forum/forum.htm Please please please could we have it on here because it's really cool.

Secondly, any chance the log-in box / logout link could be at the *top* of the homepage rather than the bottom? It's a pain always to have to scroll down. (And no I don't want to go and buy a bigger screen.)

Hacking Vbulletin is not fun, tho it is possible to move the box it does take some work

Huh?

I wasn't planning to hack it! Isn't it something that one of the techy people can do? ('Geek Quarantine' seems to beckon here if I'm not careful...)

Fencing.net has the log-in box at the top so it seems to be possible.

That would be because the Fencing.net forum is not a VBulletin one. When I am talking about hacking VBul I am talking about altering it so that it displays other than intended. Yeah, I'm one of those IT geeks ;)

Ok I will get the smilie. Not to sure about the other bit though I am going to do some work on the lay out in the middle of the week.

Login with cookies and you will not need the login section at all (and we will not have to move it!).

Then everyone's a winner!!

The Fencing.Net forum is a Vbulletin board - the old one wasn't.

BAH, you're right. The telltale vb trailer in the url should have given it away <dons the dunce cap and sits in th corner>

The taletale vb trailer- would that be the www.fencing101.com/vb then? :)

(hey, I'm not even techy and I got it.... though I'm not too certain what VBulletin *is*, other than a type of forum)

Fair enough Moose.

That's a point- when did fencing.net change to VBulletin? (I've never known it as anything but... but then I've not been around long)

Hmm, I've heard nasty things about cookies and that you should generally try to avoid getting them. And they do seem to take up lots of space on your hard drive. But then I'm not a techy, what do I know? I'm probably talking pants.

Why is there a "Dad" smilie but not "Mum"?:(

Moose
-28th May 2003, 21:48
Cos Luke I am your Mother doesnt have the same ring to it. Or the same shock value.

pinkelephant

I don't know - I'd have thought a big deep voice saying "Luke, I am your mother" would have been an even bigger shock (if that were possible). (Note the use of the subjunctive.):moon:
