Well done LP! Though you could get a better translation.
What was actually tested? Was it swords you make or just an unfinished rod of maraging steel?
And have you tried getting Etoiles through?

I'm also very glad to know that the swords aren't radioactive!

Yeah FIE do seem to test for some fun things!

I'm sure there is a good reason for it. I just dont know what it is.

Some swords were made from decomissioned tank barrels which had fired uranium shells (they use uranium as it is very dense so it could penetrate) They found they were radioactive and so they now do test to ensure your sorce of steel is not contaminated.
I will take soe pictures of the tests they do on Monday.

Like the breeches comparison - any chance of a similar one for the 350N range or would that be too embarrassing? :moon:

Just had a look at my existing LP breeches, presumably also "made to a quality rather than a price" (unless this is a new departure?)

Hmm - I appear to have the no-no unfinished seams and the dreaded "no additional layer of cloth behind the zip closure which while within the regulations is bad practice when designing protective equipment" and I am risking life and limb with "..above the zip there is a small hole see annotated picture."

No wonder I can't fence for toffee - it must be the worry!

It is true that the LP 350N stuff may not be up to the same quality as the 800N stuff...
Or has the retailoring involved an increase in quality?

Because otherwise the Duellist stuff might be better (dare I say it)...

You said it ....too late! ;)

Like the last comparison... we will look at this record:rambo:

raised eyebrows I agree... can we believe anything anymore??

It's a very big might though, and I have heard that the Duellist stuff is bad simply because the material is not thick enough for comfort. This has nothing to do with safety, as 800N plastrons are very thin. But when I get hold of some Duellist kit, I shall compare them.
