Can the Lightweight Carbon Fibre Full length handle (Reference 140) be fitted to a pistol grip length threaded grip? Please say yes or i've gotta buy new blades...

I think so. You do need a special Allen key, I think, and special nuts though.

The tang can be even shorter than one for a pistol grip! The special spanner is really needed as the nut is a long way inside the grip and is otherwise very difficult to reach and tighten

Thanks for doing my job guys!

Yes it does fit but you need one of these (http://www.leonpaul.com/cgi-bin/ss000001.pl?PRODREF=TS12&ACTINIC_REFERRER=http://www.leonpaul.com/acatalog/&NOLOGIN)

Do you mean one of these:

which can be found on this page:
http://www.leonpaul.com/acatalog/Shop_Home_Tools_and_Test_Equipment_55.html

(your link seems broken?)

Forgot the all important =1 at the end!

Correct link is this one (http://www.leonpaul.com/cgi-bin/ss000001.pl?PRODREF=TS12&ACTINIC_REFERRER=http://www.leonpaul.com/acatalog/&NOLOGIN=1) which will not only take you to the correct page but then down the page to the item.

That will serve me right for showing off!

Well as far as I remember the pistol grip handles don't come with a nut, so I'm guessing these don't either. Question for Wing "I work for LP" nut

...happy Winwaloe

You need the special nut, however it is much cheaper than the nut for the pistol grips.
I doubt this comes with the grip, but it might.

Just remember to put the nut in the right way round, or you won't get it out again.

Please tell me that wasn't you!! I have heard stories of someone doing that.

The handle doesn't technically come with the nut but the despatch department always put one in if it is not ordered.

I'm afraid it was. Trying to be helpful as usual. No longer allowed to touch the things!

sounds like LP have not made it clear enough which way round the nut should go.
