Does anyone know if there is a uni fencing club at Sussex uni or one near?
Also, can anyone tell me which uni's have fencing clubs?
Cheers,
Odd

Try a search for fencing and BUSA - from that you should be able to find out which uni's have fencing teams - or look at the links on the BFA site.

Susses has a good caoch (Angela Goodall) but like all uni clubs, it fluctuates from year to year - Porslade is near by - there might be another club in Brighton itself.

Sussex Universiy does have a fencing club. Not sure what the level of participants is though. Brighton and Hove (nearish Preston Park station) is a nice club to visit, also coached by Angela Goodall. It would also be less of a trek than Portslade.

I think they do accept non-students, I remember popping by there one evening (probably a Tuesday) a few years back. I probably went at the wrong time as they were inundated with beginners learning to fence. It was the same when I was at uni in Cardiff over a decade ago, start of the year has many beginners.

yep. i'm there and will be next year as well. not that i manage to make it to the club that often- what with all this work and all. but they meet tues 8-10. usually quite a big turnout, they do accept non fencers, very friendly setup and angela goodhall coaches there too.

hope this helps.
