The sixth Dieppe Youth International will take place on weekend of the 7th May 2006, and consist of events in five categories - Épée for U13 and U15 age groups and Foil for U11, U13 and U15 age groups.

Just bumping this - it looks like I'm a week earlier than last year.

The seventh Dieppe Youth International will take place on weekend of the 13th May 2007, and consist of events in five categories - Épée for U13 and U15 age groups and Foil for U11, U13 and U15 age groups.

The Dieppe tournament will be 18th May this year. Its later than usual due to the French tournament Calendar and holidays.

I still need to update the website details, but basically the format is the same as previous years.

The rumour mill indicates that there is interest from around 30 fencers from the Carribbean, so I’m not sure on the availability of les Roches.



I checked the Transmanche website, and there is still no return crossing Dieppe-Newhaven on Sunday evening, but they have added a Le Havre-Newhaven which is at the right time, so personally I’m going to take a car across to Dieppe on the 7 a.m. Saturday slot, and return on the 8 p.m. Sunday from le Havre.

Newhaven - Dieppe Timetable

High season (from May to September)

Newhaven / Dieppe: 07h00, 18h00, 01h30
Dieppe / Newhaven: 08h00, 13h30, 00h30

Newhaven - Le Havre Timetable

Departure every day from Newhaven at 12:30 and arrival at Le Havre at 18:30
Departure every day from Le Havre at 20:00 and arrival at Newhaven at 23:59.

Do you know if places would be available for some of our fencers? We are based in north London and I am sure some of them would love to go.

Certainly, the competition is open to anyone in the Minime (u15), Benjamin (u13), and pupille (u11) age groups, who might enjoy hitting a load of French kids with a foil or epee.

The ninth Dieppe Youth International will take place on weekend of the 3rd May 2009, and consist of events in five categories - Épée for U13 and U15 age groups and Foil for U11, U13 and U15 age groups.

This will be a Bank Holiday weekend for the first time :)

I still need to update the website details, but basically the format is the same as previous years.
