Dear All,

The e mail address lpjs@leonpaul.com routes directly to Simon Trinder who organises the competition, calendar etc...
If organisers could also send the results to gerald@mcmahon.cix.co.uk (in a table format preferably in Excel or html) then we will endevour to put them on the site within 1 week of recieving them.

The program Engarde8 is very good for both organising and ranking competitors and will output the results in a neat html format. If everyone used it (not likley I know as not all organisers are computer literate!) it would make calculating final rankings for the season much easier. The program is free be downloaded from the FIE website: http://www.fie.ch/ instructions for the download can be found at: http://www.britishfencing.com/engarde.htm.

We have had some complaints about the results being updated on the site etc... If competitors and parents could try to persuade or HELP organisers to use Engarde then it would be greatly appreciated. Please also be aware that although an entry fee is charged this goes to the competition organisers and not Leon Paul.

The series costs Leon Paul over 20,000 each year while we do our best to keep the results up to date any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Barry Paul

Having been able to run an epee competition which has attracted young fencers from the length and breadth of the the UK I can only applaud Barry and co for making it possible.

Whilst our first event was relatively small, we are now seeing total entries of 100 plus.

Two rounds of pools and DE's. Decent medals, prizes at the end of the year. People asking to take refereeing exams.

Well, something good is stirring out there.

So it's nice to be able to say thank you very much to all at LP for making this possible.

Oh! and if the fencing isn't exciting enough for you there is always the trip to the Pleasure beach and the ice creams and candy floss on the prom to look forward to.
