    I was aware my mask mesh was a bit soft, but I took it to the World vets champs and it passed ,This was at the end of October. I guessed it was ok....

Dear Chris, thank you for your reply; Gareth is a big boy, and will have to learn to deal with distractions, if indeed he was distracted. he made no sign or indication at at all that he was. re the team event, I think quite a few people, like me, want to make sure they have a good day's fencing, and I do have contacts with most of the active epeeists in Herts should you want to get a message about team events out to them.     Announcements during competitions is par for the course and if Gareth was upset he would have told me as I have known him since he was little. I needed to get the other event done so announcements were needed.

    As for team events, I suspect if they are targeted at the right clubs we will get teams (I have lots of contacts in East & EM, and I think I could get 8 club teams from around here).

    I am aiming this at mid range fencers who want lots of team matches (so fighting off places). I almost think the LP Centre is being a bit elitist and forgetting that team events are done my most people in this country for fun.

    I suspect the right marketing is the key..

    Will see what happens..
