  1. Hi John, if you wear varifocals, chances are you have been or will be wearing them for a long time as I have. I have been fencing with varifocals for so long that I can't remember how long (!) but I have never found it to be a problem as one's eyes adjust to the differing focal lengths very easily. I couldn't fence without them now. I have my lenses in sports goggles which makes it very easy to manage with mask and movement, etc. The only thing likely to make you 'cross-eyed' about it all is the cost! Hope this helps, David

    Hello David,
    Your PM inbox is full. My name is John Rohde. Trawling the forum archive, I noticed a thread in which you mention you wear varifocals. I coach the White Eagle Fencing Club (http://www.bristol-white-eagle.org/ ) in Bristol. One of my fencers has been prescribed varifocal lenses and would like to know what they are like to fence in. He already wears and fences quite happily in glasses.
