I think that WS Team would have been selected, but unfortunately the top fencers in the weapon are not competing at moment.
Personally I am glad that the BFA have shown common sense and reversed the very rigid qualification criteria. I think that selecting a mens sabre team after Chicago is the right decision.
These...

I believe that in addition to resolutions for changes in Articles it is the BFA's intention to announce portfolios for Board Members. One of the Directors will be responsible for refereeing matters...
The Olympic Park is not going the same way as Beijing. Apart from residential and commercial development on site there will be a number of key sports facilities remaining, which are going to be well...
I think that you are confused. I am not apologising for what I said, but only if I upset your wife, which has clearly triggered your response.
I appreciate that you are upset by my reaction to your wife's post. If I went OTT then I apologise. However,
when someone suggests that epeeists and sabreurs are no worse off than before and that...
Complete rubbish.
Sabreurs are not in the same position as they were. Last season several received TASS Funding and I am sure
that James Honeybone or Alex O'Connell were recipients of WCP...
Funding is a major issue 'for all parents' in 'all weapons'. Five years ago as the economic recession hit I suggested that fencing as an expensive competitive sport would struggle and despite adverse...
I want to start off by saying that my understanding is that at the moment there is no Pathway Programme and
that it is sofar as I am aware 'unfunded'.
Therefore I assume that the first priority...
I must confess that I am intrigued by this appointment. I have just looked at the British Swimming Website
and in the Water Polo Section they announce today her departure where she is described as...
1. Most if not all members of Board do read the Forum. They are also aware of my views on international programme. For the record my comments and criticisms are not directed at current Board.

Forgive me but I suggest that you read through this thread. I did not raise the money issue. For the record it
was Hokers. I merely agreed with what he had written.
The message does need to be...
It's not hijacking or a broken record, but a statement of fact. When a sport is not being run on a level playing
field, but the expectations and qualifications are the same then it does need to be...
It is not just about funding albeit I would suggest that might be an important matter for some of the less well off in the weapon. It has also to do with the gulf in support being provided by BFA/UK...
Frankly the issue should not be about placings, but rather competitiveness and potential.
The Performance Manager and UK Sport appear to focus too much importance to the former as we saw last...
GB bt Japan 45-42 to finish 13th. Amazing turnaround as GB were losing 30-18 after sixth series. Soji won next
match 11-5, followed by Crutchett 10-5 with James bringing them home 6-4.
GB lost to Belarus 45-37
GB beat Hong Kong 45-31
now fencing for 13/14th place.
GB lost 45-42 to Korea the Olympic Champions. An outstanding result for a young team.Well done to James, Alex and Soji.
GB [HONEYBONE,CRUTCHETT,AIYENURO] bt MEXICO 45-28. Now fence second seeds Korea.
Excellent result by Richard. Just shows the fine margins between success and failure in the space of one week.
The only dampener is that Richard and James finished last season in same Tournament...
