It's just 4 weeks or so after the Scottish Junior Championships and a couple of weeks after the Scottish Summer Training Camp so yeah fits in right at the end of Season with August Off. That's the...
Good to see, thanks for the update FA. So another Comp to be squeezed in at the end of the year, joy.
Just seems far too similar not to be...in previous years there has been a site like this and the stand alone fencing one.
If it is, we'll have to miss, which is a shame as it's been a lot of...
It would appear it's going to be 8th & 9th of June...

clashes with the U-23 European Championships.
Will be adding my 3 Kids to the Entry soon, so another WF, ME and WE to be added. Luckily for me the Boy's still borrowing my Breeches, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
Competition numbers usually end up 20 to 30 for WF & WE, the Men's events around 40, and obviously Sabre less. The Comp is a friendly one with usually a lot of fragile fencers on the Sunday from the...
Not a lot of hanging around this year, really well run. Both Girls really enjoyed themselves, little ones first big Comp and can't wait till next year.
What would be the point in using a...
Always plenty of Nif in the WF anyway, take it their going to hold it closer to Summer this year?
Does anyone know if the London Int Open which was held at the Excel last year is running this Season?
There has been no details posted anywhere that I've seen.
The Academy has educated and developed quite a few fencers from '95 backwards. I agree that the programme required some work but overall was showing up and coming young fencers all that was required...
Never heard of refunds from any Comp you end up not being able to attend.
Are you putting yourself forward for this role Gav?
Totally agree with everything you've suggested concerning Comps etc. Sell, sell, sell. With more glamour and spectacle the better.
Suggestions on getting rid of right of way in Foil and Sabre are ridiculous!!! Different people fence the different weapons for exactly those reasons and right of way effects the movement and...
Harryscott and D'Art I have read recently that a bunch of Lilies would assist no end in becoming a cat free individual. :p
Oh D'Art FB! Struth that is surely a step too far. I don't know what is...
There is also a nasty grub/worm that takes over snails, usually living in the left eye/feeler. It makes the snails go to high leaves to be eaten by birds so the grub can complete it's cycle in the...
Used the Novohotel in the past, nice hotel well central as you said. The City center is pretty good and mostly pedestrianised and there is plenty of nice eateries within walking distance out the rear...
Thought the Pic of the 2 Canadian Epeeists in the back cover of Escrime 'FIE 100' was quite good, with the heading - 'If not for the FIE, fencers would still be fighting in the streets'.
I was thinking the same myself. Plenty maybe a further education isn't the path for you if researching a topic of interest on the net is too much for you???
A poor showing from Scotland this weekend along with England. Italy on the other hand played an excellent game and if it wasn't for a couple of hand errors and missed kicks it could have been a...
I've always just been of the practice if we have the time and the funds we'll go to any Scottish Comp, and if it's run well we'll return year after year.
But it would be nice for the YDS to extend...
Another successful and well run Comp from the YDS Team up in Snowy Dundee over the weekend. Well done guys, nice to see the growing number of younger fencers attending.
Younger daughter has enjoyed...
Northumbria scholarship has different Levels, bronze, silver, gold and platinum. These are based on the Level of fencing (might have made the platinum one up, been a while since I checked the site)....
That is simple to resolve, just expand the column at the top of the page and the pts will appear...
The Olympic example isn't really a fair one to use CC. As the hosting Nation we had the 'wild-cards' to use, whether they were used fairly and the right fencers were sent is a different discussion.
