'My other team mates fence foil, so all I got was this lovely Tracksuit (that I had to pay for).'
I hope that this isn't a sign of things to come, particularly with so many of our Vets winning medals in 'the wrong weapon'. Well done to everyone, and what a shame that BF don't see this huge effort...
Bafco. You really should see your simple layout on my iPad. 160 lines of computer speak. Though I know what you are saying ..... Made me smile.
Thanks to all of the organisers today. Hugely...
It is. The new age groups are slotting into the ones from yesterday - as I discovered by chance ..... I need to be more observant.
It does seem to take a long time to get things organised by BF :)
Perhaps someone will pop out today and buy one ready for when the U18 Girls Foil finishes. Meadowhall is just down the road .......
When you look at the names associated with the 10 / 10 / 5 split for men's foil, and apply the same across other weapons (looked at some not all) of the five cadets identified, at least two and often...
The process is outlined in the GBR tab of the British Fencing website under Selection and Representation. This includes senior, junior and cadet processes. Essentially for cadet and juniors there are...
Based on the Bath Epee comp Norman accepts entry on the day. Numbers then were good but I don't think Norman does computers.
Please Leon Paul can you add a competition entry upload section to the LPJS website AND require competition organisers to use it.
This would really help folk to plan their attendance at...
As a linked question, what is happening to AASE? Hasn't this been co-delivered at times with NA sessions? Presumably the lack of NA days raises the cost, and challenges viability? Hopefully not...
Already up ......
Hi Beth. Any updates from Sunday available???
Thank you for a great competition. Will definitely attend again. Can you put a map of the University campus in next time though ....... Foolishly thought the postcode would get us there ........
...
The year two cohort seems to have had an October close date for expressions of interest, so a bit early yet for publication of this years application process. However, would be good to know if it...
Not enough to fence in every poule yet .....
Not just a problem for fencing I suspect. Was chatting a few weeks back to an equestrian competitor. She has duel nationality with a parent being Canadian. She now competes for the Canadian national...
Now that would help explain things ...... and impact significantly on Day Two, for Epee.
I had a look earlier at which clubs attended last year, and the location of fencers - really must get a life - mainly given the increased numbers heading north from our club. The greatest numbers by...
Numbers are certainly interesting. Has to be 50% down on foil and a third across épée. Pity, cause this was a really enjoyable day last year. And moving back to two days clearly gives scope for more...
I don't suppose that these three or four fencers were also all from the same club, looking at the entry list??? Is that the issue???
I agree fully that covering should have been challenged. But in a scenario where you may have less experienced refs, and often without the oversight of someone more experienced, I would hope that...
Apologies but I'm slightly lost here all of a sudden. You clearly have a better knowledge of refereeing than most parents, and as such I would have thought a discussion with the competition organiser...
Please don't give Rachael a set of cards Chris. Club nights would never be the same again. :D
I read the first post on the thread and reflected back on the dozen lpjs comps we did last year across foil and épée. There were some great events, and one or two with challenges. We have arrived for...
