Woops,I meant October competitions...
No October comps on the November rankings, and still no Shropshire Open...

Last night, I have put out the November rankings with the new updates to the ranking rules.
For comparison, I've also put a second October rankings up so you can examine purely what effect they have without any new results confusing the comparison.
I am not involved in the reasons behind the changes. If you want to know more about this, please contact the Performance Manager who would be able to answer your questions.
Standardising the A-Grade cut to 75% does close a loophole in the rules regarding the rule where any competition could be upgraded to score as an A-Grade if that would score higher.
Previously, the A-Grade cut was different which meant, in order to be fair to those who had made the normal cut or the A-Grade cut, the International Committee suggested to award two NIFs and two cuts. Competitors would get points based on which cut they'd made.
If you examine the new rankings, it is much simplified now and a competition only has the one cut and a competition will have either the normal NIFs or the A-Grade NIFs, whichever is higher.
Please check the rankings and if you see anything, please email me and I will be happy to investigate.
I thank you for your patience whilst I have been working on this.

“Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.”
