Any ideas for boarding schools in uk whom specialise in fence ?
millfield certainly does - currently have members of go squads at all three weapons.
You can email me at trp@millfieldschool.com for more info or with any questions.

None specialise as such, however you have a few who have fencing at them. The likes of Millfield is probably the best known, however there are others.
Suggest you look at the results of the Public School Fencing Championships to identify schools that produce competitive fencers.
What weapon do you specialise in as this would effect choices..
Oundle, Peterborough & Stamford Fencing

To be honest, IMHO, unless your going to go to Millfield you might be better off choosing a school that is near one of the better clubs.

Harrow seem to have a consistently good team, watched them in action a couple of weeks ago
Brentwood School have produced some top sabreurs (O'Connell brothers, Crutchett brothers, Chrystall Nichol etc), the do also fence other weapons but I'm not sure of the quality.
Dulwich College; not sure what others in South London / Surrey have boarders. Tonbridge, Epsom College.
Roger Barnes Streatham Fencing Club
Plymouth College in Devon - they have boarders, a good Modern Pentathlon programme and have been producing some really good fencers

Eton has a good set up. as long as it is not sabre. The new coach is not so interested in it.

Plymouth College in sunny South West is Linked to Plymouth Fencing club. The college have Andy Hill as Director of Modern Pentathlon and Fencing. Under his direction the disciplines have 13 national titles this year. The Pillage family are in attendance, Kerenza Bryson and Tia Simms-Lymn are also on their talent ID list.
Through Plymouth Fencing club they have assistance from Pete Barrett (Under 20 British Men's Coach) and in house competition/training/sparring with the burgeoning University of Plymouth Fencing Club.
The school has boarding and names 4 current olympians including Ruta and Tom Daley. The school is also popular with students from a variety of international destinations and gives scholarships on a sliding scale dependent on success and potential.
Hope that fills in a few more details.

Har Har....the Southwest might be flooded but we're ok in Plymouth for the record.
Unfortunately, the trains are not running between tiverton and exeter, very flat and low lying at the best of times...bit more isolated than usual but obviously Dartmoor is a natural barrier for plymouth. Further to the schools and fencing the areas of outstanding beauty are a main attraction. Lived down here half my life now so if you prefer a slower pace of life Plymouth is ideal. Also puts fencers in good stead for travelling as it's a bit out of the way.
Truro School in Cornwall currently has pupils representing GBR in all three weapons. The associated club is Truro Fencing Club which has fencers representing GBR in all weapons, at all levels and abilities.
There is also a girls only school in Truro called Truro High School which also has pupils who attend Truro Fencing Club and represent GBR.
