What im really afraid of is that someday, someone on a focus group will take the whole jedi knight thing seriously and they'll build a jedi temple somewhere like Slough.

I suppose that might make slough at least slightly interesting to non-inhabitants

Because it isn't, but it used to be. Just like the Leicester Open migrated for a while, fell apart then morphed into the Allstar Cup. Slough is essentially a certain weekend on the calendar rather than an actual place.

Maybe instead of separating fencers in the preliminary rounds of competitions by club affiliation, we should do it by religion?

Imagine the discussions in the pub after the competition.
