The Eastern Region is pleased to announce it's first Senior/Veterans training session for 2017. It will take place at Chelmer Valley High School, Chelmsford on Saturday 6th May 9.30am-4pm. This will be for Foil and Epee only. This training day is open to all affiliated Eastern Region fencers aged 18+ (There is no upper age limit)

The Coaches will be;

Pierre Harper - Foil Coach

Pierre has won six National Senior Foil Titles, he has won three Commonwealth Games gold medals and competed in the individual and team foil events at the 1980 Moscow, 1984 Los Angeles and 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics. His coaching career has been equally successful having taken a total of fifteen Newham and Cambridge Swords fencers from grass roots to GB international level, and a further six to England International standard.

Pierre recently celebrated 25 years of coaching.

David Keszlar - Epee Coach

Dávid studied for 4 years to become a fencing coach at the prestigious Semmelweis University. A successful fencer in his time, David was 7 times Hungarian Champion at various age groups (individual & team) and was part of the Hungarian national squad at under 17 and under 20 levels. As part of the Hungarian team, he finished 4th at the European Championships and 6th at the World Championships. David currently coaches at The Brentwood School and at Leon Paul Epee Club.
