Fund a coach for Veterans GBR Women's Epee Team at World Championships
Dear All
The Epée Club established The Epée Club Charitable Fund in March 2015.
As part of this strategy The Epee Club is supporting fund raising for a coach for the GBR Veterans Women’s Epee Team at the coming Veterans World Championships in Maribor, Slovenia in October
A team of twelve veteran women epeeist will represent Great Britain. Ages range from 50-70+ years and all are self-funded. The Epee club wish to raise enough funds to send a coach with the team. This would be the first time the team will have the experience and support of a coach at international level -despite their being a GBR team at international level for the past 10 years.
If you would like to make a donation towards this objective you can donate through 3 different methods
1 Donations can be made via BACS transfer payable to:
The Epée Club Charitable Fund
Sort Code: 30-98-45
Account Number: 67781468
3 By cheque payable to
'The Epée Club Charitable Fund', and send to: Lawrence Burr, Treasurer ECCF, The Granary, Norton Fitzwarren, Taunton, Somerset, TA4 1AA.

Veterans Women's epee team fly out to Maribor Sat/Sun. Compete Monday and Tuesday. We have a coach . It is Sue Benny
It is not too late to help with the costs . If ;
you promised to help,

or chair of a Region or County that hasn't spent much on Veteran development now is the time to salve your conscience and contribute
A big thank you from the Veteran WE. Thanks to you all we managed to raise £500 and have Sue Benney as coach.
It was a great help having an experienced coach steadying, advising and supporting. We nearly got an individual bronze through Jane Clayton who lost in the dying seconds by one hit and we did get some L8S and L16S.
In the team we came 6/9 running into the USA who won the gold and had ex-Olympic fencers in the team.
In the past we have come last.
Onward and upward for next year
