    Once again we are running the British U10 Foil Championship on Sunday 20 May 2018.

    NB.Venue near the M54 and walking/brief taxi ride distance from
    Wellington Railway station
    There will be an Allstar trade stand

    This competition is open to all British fencers born 2008/2009/2010. There will be separate events
    for girls and boys. It is highly likely that people will want to take photographs at this event please
    contact the organiser if you have any concerns about this. All Participants and their supporters
    must comply with British Fencing Codes of Conduct at all times.
    The competition format is likely to be the same as previous years i.e.2rounds without elimination
    followed by Direct Elimination. Medals will be awarded for the final 8 fencers, who will also, if
    eligible, be entitled to claim byes to the BYC U12 finals the following year.
    NB BF clothing regulations will be enforced, including breeches, plastrons and long socks, chest
    protectors for girls. Foils will be weight tested throughout the competition. Size 0 blades
    must be used.
    Venue: Wrekin Sports Hall, Wrekin College, Sutherland Road, Wellington, Telford, TF1 3BH
    Anyone wishing to volunteer to referee please contact entries@scfu.org.uk Prior to the event.
    Report time: Latest report time - Boys 9.30 Girls 10.30
    Entry Fee: 25.50 payable at http://bf.sport80.com (late entry 35.50)
    plus Stripe Fee
    Due to circumstances beyond our control the stripe fee is passed onto the fencer

    if there are any foil referees available for Sundays comp it would be greatly appreciated, reasonable expenses paid.
    Please lets not waste time arguing the pros and cons of paying referees, its been done to death on other threads.

    This is an electric competition and as such does require lames.

    Thank you to all the fencers and parents who came to the competition yesterday and made a fantastic competition. My thanks also go to all the referees who ran around like mad things, thanks to Allstar who once again provided prizes. Fencing stuff for bringing her colourful t-shirts and hoodies. The ladies who manned the refreshments and last but not least Andy for his skill and knowledge as our armourer.
