    Default Manchester Sword 2018

    Following on from the popularity of the Stirling Sword competitions is Manchester Sword! Same senior mixed-gender team and individual format, same low price competition, the only difference is that it is in Manchester.

    Whether you are looking for some post-exams summer fencing, some Winton Cup preparation or spot of team practice before the Commonwealths, this could be the competition for you!

    Saturday 30th June
    •Team Foil: 09:15 - 09:30
    •Team Epee: 09:45 - 10:00
    •Team Sabre: 10:45 - 11:00

    Sunday 1st July
    •Individual Foil: 09:45 - 10:00
    •Individual Epee: 10:15 - 10:30
    •Individual Sabre: 10:45 - 11:00

    Team events will be poules of 3/4 teams followed by direct elimination with a 3rd/4th place play-off.
    Individual events will be 2 rounds of poules followed by direct elimination with no 3rd/4th place play-off.

    As Manchester Sword is being held at the specialist Manchester Fencing Centre, EVERY match - from poules to finals - will be done on a full metallic piste.

    Manchester Sword is classed as a recreational event, fencers require at least a BF recreational licence in order to compete.

    £36 per Mixed Team entry
    £16 per Mixed Individual entry

    There is also a Facebook event here which will be updated regularly with information about the event.

    Fyne First Aid will be providing armoury and first aid services throughout the weekend to help fix any broken equipment and any broken fencers!
