    Default Returning fencer: Should i?

Well, now, after a small gap (ahem, probably five years), I've got the opportunity to go back to fencing.
    Several things:
    1. I still have a slightly dodgy right ankle (and fencing shoes are quite hard)
    2. Will my kit still be usable (the Xchange mask doesn't have that little additional strap thing we were meant to get added)
    3. I am 58.. and half a stone heavier than I was five years ago.
So, should I come back or not?

Wear an ankle support and see how you go.
Your Mask won't be usable for FIE comps (not sure when it's mandatory for domestics yet?)
Join the Veterens and do some Veteran's comps.
“Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.”

Thanks. What weapon do the vets mostly use?
